Preparation of cuttings is often considered as standard thin section preparation by us, however we do
offer enhanced services. As a default, we sieve samples into at least two size fractions in an effort to
give a representative view of the sample without bis with f=respect to fragment size. Enhanced services
include the following:
- Washing/rewashing of cuttings samples to remove residual drilling mud and break up agglomerated cuttings fragments.
- Picking of individual fragments of specific lithologies within each sample interval.
